C.P. Company was founded by Massimo Osti in the 1970s, initially under the name Chester Perry and later rebranded. The brand became a laboratory for exploring how military design and workwear could be transformed into contemporary fashion.

Its major technical contribution has been the development of garment dyeing, a process that produces nuances and finishes that are difficult to achieve with pre-dyed fabrics.
