Tissot

Swiss watchmaking brand with tradition and excellent value for money.

Discover the story

Founded in 1853 by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Émile Tissot in Le Locle (Switzerland), Tissot is one of the Swiss watch industry brands with the highest export volume and international reach, part of the Swatch Group.

Among its standout innovations is the 1853 creation of the first mass-produced pocket watch with dual time zone function, and the 1930 launch of the Tissot Antimagnetique, the first non-magnetic wristwatch in history. Additionally, in 1999 they revolutionized the market with the T-Touch, the first tactile watch with a capacitive sapphire crystal screen powered by solar energy.

A major sales success for the brand is the PRX, a 1978 design reissued with a tonneau-shaped steel case and integrated bracelet that features satin finishes and automatic calibers (Powermatic 80 with 80 hours of power reserve) at a benchmark value-for-money offering in the Swiss watch sector.
