Brunello Cucinelli

Italian craftsmanship and cashmere.

Discover the story

Founded in 1978 in Solomeo (Italy) by Brunello Cucinelli, the eponymous brand is a global leader in understated luxury and high-end fashion, specializing primarily in garments made from pure cashmere. The company operates under the 'Capitalist Humanism' business model, structuring its production in the small medieval town of Solomeo, which was fully restored by the company itself.

The core difference of Brunello Cucinelli lies in the extreme quality of its raw materials and its ethical production commitment. The brand sources cashmere fiber directly from herders on the plateaus of Inner Mongolia and northern China, where extreme climatic conditions produce the finest and longest undercoat in the world. All knit manufacturing is done by hand or using traditional mechanical looms in the Umbria region.

As an aesthetic and quality control feature, the garments do not have ostentatious logo tags; their identity is recognized through the touch, the neutral color palette inspired by the landscapes of Umbria, and the hand-finished details on hems and seams, ensuring a standard of generational durability.
