Jaeger-LeCoultre
Leading Swiss manufacturer and benchmark for high watchmaking.
Discover the story
Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre in Le Sentier (Switzerland), Jaeger-LeCoultre is widely recognized in the industry as "the Grande Maison" or "the watchmaker of watchmakers", having historically supplied mechanical movements to the world's most prestigious brands (such as Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin).
The brand stands out for its unparalleled technical innovation capability, having registered more than 400 patents and created over 1,200 different calibers. Among its milestones is the 1931 creation of the Reverso, a watch designed for British polo players in India whose steel case can be rotated 180 degrees on itself to protect the crystal from direct impacts during play.
Another historic milestone for the manufacture is the Atmos watch (1928), a pendulum mechanism that operates without the need for manual winding or a battery, powered exclusively by minimal variations in ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure (a one-degree Celsius change guarantees enough energy for 48 hours of operation).
