Discover the story
Founded in Madrid in 1846 by a collective of leather artisans and solidified in 1872 following the arrival of German artisan Enrique Loewe Roessberg, Loewe is the oldest luxury house within the LVMH Group. In 1905, King Alfonso XIII awarded it the title of Purveyor to the Royal Court.
Loewe’s core technical signature lies in its historic mastery of lambskin nappa treatment (napa 7000), one of the softest, finest, and most flexible leathers on the international luxury leather goods market. Every leather piece is meticulously selected, rejecting any natural imperfections to ensure a unique drape and elasticity.
Among its most iconic creations is the Amazona bag, launched in 1975 as a flexible daily bag designed for the working woman, and the Puzzle bag (2014), a modern design milestone made from geometric pieces cut and assembled so that the bag can be fully folded flat.
