Loro Piana

Exceptional materials and understated luxury.

Discover the story

Founded in Quarona (Italy) in 1924 by Pietro Loro Piana, Loro Piana is the world-renowned ultra-luxury textile and apparel house specializing in processing the planet's finest natural fibers. Since 2013, it has been part of the LVMH Group.

Loro Piana's core competitive and technical advantage lies in its direct vertical control of the supply chain for extraordinary raw materials. The brand is the world's largest buyer of vicuña wool, a wild South American camelid whose fleece can only be shorn every two years, producing the finest and lightest animal fiber on the planet (12 microns in diameter).

Additionally, the brand introduced The Gift of Kings wool (sourced from selected Merino sheep) and lotus thread extracted from the stems of the plant in Myanmar to the global market, creating garments defined by incomparable thermal lightness with no visible logos or branding.
