Maison Mihara Yasuhiro
Experimental footwear and Japanese designer-led design.
Discover the story
Maison Mihara Yasuhiro was founded in 1996 as a footwear brand created by Japanese designer Mihara Yasuhiro. While studying at Tama Art University, Mihara taught himself shoe-making techniques, turning that craft into the foundation of his creative voice.
The brand later expanded its offerings to full collections, while retaining an experimental mindset and a consistent drive to challenge the standard way of constructing garments or shoes. Altered proportions, treated surfaces, and deliberately imperfect elements are all part of an aesthetic that balances precision and playfulness.
Footwear remains central to the house's identity, especially through its research into soles, volumes, and reinterpretations of classic shoe silhouettes. Maison Mihara Yasuhiro embodies a Japanese vision of independent, creative, unmistakable luxury.
