Founded in Istanbul in 2012 by Mert Güzel and Murat Katran, Nishane is Turkey’s first niche perfume house to gain international traction, designed to unite the cultural heritage of Constantinople with a cosmopolitan vision.
Nishane’s key differentiator is that nearly its entire product line is exclusively formulated as Extrait de Parfum concentration (with essential oil percentages ranging between 25% and 30%). This ensures the fragrance maintains a sustained, evolving presence on the skin for more than 12 hours.
Among its most prestigious creations is Hacivat, a fragrance that pays homage to the traditional Ottoman shadow theatre (Karagöz & Hacivat). Its fragrances use pure pineapple, patchouli, and noble wood extracts, crafting a distinctive olfactory profile that has become a modern classic of artistic perfumery.
