Raf Simons
Cult fashion, youth, art, and underground culture.
Discover the story
Raf Simons launched his eponymous label in 1995 after training in industrial design and initially working in furniture. A self-taught fashion designer, he quickly developed a masculine aesthetic connected to music, art, youth subcultures, and a visual sensibility born from the 1990s Belgian scene.
His collections explored school uniforms, tailoring, workwear, punk, rave, and post-industrial references, pairing them with streamlined silhouettes and a strong cultural weight. Many seasons from the label later achieved cult status among collectors and exerted a lasting influence on multiple generations of designers.
In November 2022, Raf Simons announced that the Spring-Summer 2023 collection would be the final one for his eponymous brand, closing out a 27-year run. The pieces currently available therefore belong to the legacy and commercial archive of a now-shuttered label, a fact that enhances their historical and collectible appeal.
