Vacheron Constantin
One of the most prestigious historic high watchmaking manufacturers.
Discover the story
Founded in Geneva in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron and consolidated in 1819 following its partnership with François Constantin, Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest high watchmaking manufacturer with uninterrupted production since its founding. It is considered one of three founding houses of the "Holy Trinity" of Swiss watchmaking.
Vacheron Constantin is renowned for its unrivaled mastery in creating grand complications and high decorative craftsmanship (Métiers d'Art). In 2015, it unveiled the Reference 57260, the most complicated mechanical watch in the world to date, featuring 57 individual horological complications developed over 8 years by three master watchmakers.
All of its mechanical watch collections (such as the flagship Patrimony line or the luxury sports Overseas collection) frequently bear the historic Geneva Seal, and have the Maltese Cross logo engraved on their dial or crown—a symbol adopted by the brand in 1880, inspired by the shape of a barrel component that regulated the tension of the mainspring.
